Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
The short version: your artwork previews entirely in your browser and is never uploaded to build the trace. When you export a paid PDF or SVG, the file is generated on our server, sent straight back to you, and not stored. Payments and billing details are handled by Polar — we never see your card number. We don't sell your data to anyone.
Who we are
Halo (halocontour.com) is operated by Sticker My Life, a print shop based in Mesa, Arizona, USA. If you have any question about this policy, email info@halocontour.com.
Your artwork
Halo is designed so your art stays private:
- Tracing, live preview, and color sampling run entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to build or tune the cut path. If you close the tab, your artwork is gone from the session.
- Paid vector exports (PDF and SVG) are generated on our server. When you click export, your artwork and cut path are sent to our export service over an encrypted connection, the file is built and returned to you immediately, and the data is discarded. We do not store, review, or reuse your artwork, and we claim no rights to it — it is yours.
- Free PNG exports are rendered in your browser and never leave your machine.
Account and license data
Halo has no traditional accounts. When you buy an access pass, we store the minimum needed to run the service:
- Your access key and its subscription status, so the studio can verify that exports are unlocked.
- The email address associated with your purchase, provided by Polar, so we can look up your pass if you need support.
Your access key is remembered on your own device (in your browser's local storage) so you don't have to re-enter it. It is never embedded in exported files. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser data for halocontour.com.
Payments
All payments are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar collects and handles your name, email, and payment details under its own privacy policy. We never receive or store your card number.
Hosting and technical logs
Halo is served through Cloudflare. Like nearly every website, standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and requested pages) may appear in short-lived infrastructure logs used for security and to keep the service running. We use this information only to operate and protect the service.
Cookies and tracking
Halo does not use advertising cookies and does not sell or share your personal information for advertising. The only data kept in your browser is functional — such as your access key, so exports stay unlocked between visits.
Data retention and deletion
License records are kept while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward for support and accounting. If you'd like your data deleted, email info@halocontour.com from the address you purchased with and we'll remove what we hold; billing records retained by Polar are governed by Polar's policy and applicable law.
Children
Halo is a production tool intended for business use and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to how Halo handles your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continued use of Halo after a change means you accept the updated policy.
